Pinetum

 

The project was born in response to the brief “conversations” for the third edition of Pinetum Design - a biannual design event hosted by Villa Gaeta in Tuscany. For this edition, Piero Lissoni has selected the studio to participate in this event. The pieces were realized and are available for orders at Cioni Srl.

TUBO BENCH

 

Tubo is a modular bench made out of concrete and manufactured in two-shells, round and hollow section. The circular arrangement allows people seating to equally face the center table, which hosts a Fire-pit. The formal language features a consistent, two-directions shadow gap along with the piece as a representation of individuals coming together.

    LIFT OFF LAMP

     

    Liftoff is a portable lamp, powered by batteries and therefore cordless. The lamp’s feature is a vertical handle which allows flexibility in use: it can be in fact used as a floor lamp, as well as be hung by repositioning the tubular handle on the other end of the fitting. Its conical shape favors light diffusion, while the shape of the handle functions as a grip, as well as a hanging device.

    The pieces were realized and are available for orders at Luce 5.
