Designer Chiara Ferrari has unveiled her latest completion, the rich yet minimalist headquarters for leading bike innovation brand Ergon in Koblenz, Germany. Spanning three floors in an existing building by architect Michael Linn, the project, the product of a five-year collaboration with the cycling specialists, was conceived as the representation of her client’s identity – the perfect blend of ergonomic design and emotion. Drawing on her Ergon’s specialism on merging functionality and style, Ferrari designed a space that looks clean and seamless, yet is brimming with bespoke solutions that elevate the interior through attention to detail and a truly tailor-made approach. At the same time, spatial interventions, such as layout changes that involved opening up areas and partitioning others, as well as wrapping everything in new materials and finishes, ensure a thorough and coherent approach throughout. Custom created lighting and furniture crafted in collaboration with Portuguese furniture manufacturer Iduna, blended with sourced product from brands such as Vitra, CC Tapis and Delta Light, complete the composition.
