Gravity Table
TILES
Gravity pays homage to the Italian 1960s SuperStudio iconic work with grid systems. The piece consists of two intersecting boxes, one made of a plywood base and matte off-white tile cladding that adds texture, while playing with scale and perspective; the smaller the volume, the smaller the tile size. This coffee table is sculptural, functional and versatile, as it can be used both indoors and outdoors, thanks to its wipe-clean, durable ceramic skin.
MARBLE & STEEL
This special edition was commissioned by Graye_LA for the collaborative exhibition “intimate strangers” at Milan furniture fair in 2017 at Palazzo Litta, as well as in Los Angeles at Graye Annex showroom. The piece maintains the proportions of the tiles version, while playing with the combination of materials: a solid, black marble for the bottom piece and a mirror polished steel top piece, which contrasts with visual lightness by reflecting the base as well as the context.
